New shapes and volumes reinvent plasterboard

Once validated by the contractors, the shapes are prefabricated in the workshops. The plasterboards are cut using CNC cutting tools to guarantee accuracy to a tenth of a mm.

The shapes are then milled and grooved before being bent, curved, and assembled by glue, lamination, and screw assembly, resulting in a clean finish of impeccable quality. The individually numbered elements are delivered on site in special packaging. The various pieces are then assembled and installed by the plaster works company.

PLAtec solutions encompass the following possibilities:

  • cutting out all straight and complex shapes
  • milling and grooving for bending to all angles
  • curving plasterboards of all radii and curving to variable radii (cones)
  • glue, lamination, and screw assembly
  • finishings.

PLAtec solutions are characterized by three levels of technical complexity:

  • Simple pieces, produced by bending and CNC cutting, are a popular choice due to their speedy installation, guaranteed impeccable finishing, and regularity with regard to repetitive elements.
  • Larger pieces integratingoverhangs, within the framework of the provisions of DTU 25-41 relating to plasterboard partition works.
  • Geometrically complex pieces including more particular shapes, large size pieces integrating wood or ironwork structures, and elements designed for difficult environments integrating vent ducts, cable runs etc. PLAtec then supplies the companies with details and an installation drawing.

PLAtec solutions integrate seamlessly into the company workflow:

  • upstream design and definition of the solution with the specifiers,
  • optimization of solutions and elements, taking other plasterboard works and installation methods into account,
  • on-site delivery and technical assistance.
