MacDonald’s chooses PLAtec for its restaurant ceilings

"In the context of our four major renovation themes, we worked closely with PLAtec to create plasterboard shapes for all the decorative ceiling elements. Customers can easily identify the shapes as unique to us. These inexpensive shapes are simple to install, adapt easily to our various requirements, and are flexible enough to adapt to any permissible overloads on site.

Our relations with PLAtec are based on partnership and exchange to ensure real efficiency
Our interior architecture office Archange, which originally conceived the different atmospheres, provides tailor-made drawings and designs for each site. PLAtec then carries out a feasibility study on the designs and recommends the best technical and economical solutions. We greatly appreciate PLAtec's site follow-up and reactive approach, among other qualities. We often change our minds halfway through a project and PLAtec always manages to adapt with us.

Training for plasterers and customized logistics
From the outset, MacDonald's France has consistently hired small local companies with fewer than 10 staff for its fitting-out work. These companies know our requirements inside out and we can count on their skills and expertise. PLAtec organized specific training sessions on installing the various elements. Delivery logistics for the pieces were designed and applied according to site type, and palettization of the elements to be installed was simplified.

Schedule cut by almost a week on each restaurant site
Our alternative to PLAtec was staff. However, staff work monopolizes 20m² of the limited floor space in our restaurants. PLAtec leaves more floor space accessible, allowing other trades to carry out work at the same time. Renovation of a restaurant takes 12 to 16 weeks on average, but we can cut this schedule by at least a week."
