New Look collections set off by PLAtec curves
The high street fashion chain New Look is currently No. 3 brand on the English market, with a 35-year-strong tradition in head-to-toe family fashions. The retailer has recently launched an ambitious nationwide program of store openings in France. The first store, opened in the Parinord shopping mall in Paris in late 2006, focuses on fun, chic and accessible style.
The latest in this series of New Look stores opened in May 2007 in the Grand'place shopping mall in Grenoble. The collections are set off by a dramatic 1500 m² backdrop. An ellipse produced by PLAtecTM overhangs the monumental entrance staircase which climbs to the next floor. The space is highlighted by immense mirrors reflecting the illuminated black grooves of the integrated ceiling lighting. The curved shapes in the fitting rooms mark out private spaces, inviting customers to step into the world of New Look style. The illuminated grooves and curved walls were also designed and machined by PLAtec. This combination of elements creates an inclusive, stylish atmosphere, echoing the essence of the brand.
